This type of net won’t play the same as a real net that is the official width, but anyone buying this table isn’t buying it with tournament level performance as a priority anyway. It’s made for durability and practicality.

The JOOLA Berkshire Table Tennis Table measures a spacious 9 feet in length, 5 feet in width, and stands at 2.5 feet in height. With a weight of 350 lbs, it’s built to be sturdy and durable, ensuring it can withstand the test of time.
Keep in mind that with the durability of the cement top and steel legs make it a pretty heavy table. It could be hard to initially move and set up when it arrives, and would also be difficult to change the location after the initial set up.

Customer Reviews and Concerns for the JOOLA Berkshire
Some previous customers on Amazon have complained of defects in which the tableโs laminate surface was peeling off only after a few months. I contacted megaspin, (a specialized table tennis equipment dealer), and inquired about the tableโs durability issues.
They assured me that JOOLA updated the table in 2021 in order to address the issue and that they havenโt received any complaints since the update. The table is also backed by a one year warranty by JOOLA and if you purchase the table through megaspin they offer additional warranty service on top of the manufacturerโs in order to resolve issues faster.
Some customers on Amazon complained about the delivery service as well. I would recommend buying the table through Megaspin. They specialize in table tennis equipment and call to give you a heads up before arrival. They also offer premium delivery service and table set up for additional costs.
And currently these tables are quite a bit cheaper on megaspin than on amazon and megaspin will price match amzon or any other store anyway.

Some Similar Alternatives to the JOOLA Berkshire
JOOLA Brighton U-Leg Table Tennis Table $1,000

While I donโt think this table looks quite as good as the Berkshire, it is priced quite a bit cheaper at only $1,000 and in my opinion still looks good. If youโre looking for a cheaper version of the Berkshire and donโt plan to use the table outside this is a great option.
This table also feature a wood top, which will result in better ball bounce and a better playing experience. If you are a more serious player and ball bounce is important to you than consider this table.
It only comes in one colour and the net will be a bit more cumbersome to remove and re-attach. Another thing to consider is that the U legs might get in the way if seating many people at the table when compared to the X-leg design.
JOOLA Brighton X-Leg Ping Pong Table $1,400
The JOOLA Brighton X-Leg Table is very similar to the Berkshire but has a traditional net setup and a wood surface which will result in better ball bounce and gameplay. It also shares the same price as the Berkshire. If you donโt plan on using the table outside and prefer the traditional net setup this is a great option.
The net will take a bit more effort to remove and re-attach compared to the Berkshire. This table is also only available in one colour.
This table also weighs about 130 lbs less than the Berkshire so setup should be much easier.
Keep in mind however that it probably wonโt be as durable as the Berkshire. So even if you only plan on using the table indoors, you might consider opting for the Berkshire if you expect the table to see a lot of abuse and durability is a priority for you.

Outdoor Table Alternatives to Joola Berkshire
I looked for outdoor alternatives to the Berkshire and and these two tables look like the best options to me. They are both more expensive but they both include 10 year warranties also.
KETTLER Eden Outdoor Ping Pong Table – $2,200
For anyone worried about the JOOLA Berkshireโs durability, the KETTLER Eden Outdoor table could be a fantastic choice. This table comes with a 10-year limited warranty on the table tops, and 3 years for other components.
This table is made in Germany and features a fully weatherproof composite top which will result in better ball bounce when compared to concrete and will also be easier to set up or move with itโs lighter weight. Itโs supposed to simulate the bounce of a wood indoor table. This table could also be an excellent alternative for those concerned with ball bounce.
I think that the grey coloured top with the chrome net and legs look absolutely stunning.
It is also available in 2 different colours. The net is meant to be permanent on this table, but can still be removed fairly easily so it can still be multi purpose.
It is a bit pricier at $2,200, but with the great warranty support I feel like it still measures up to the Berkshire in the value you get for the price.

The Cornilleau Lifestyle table comes with a much higher price, but if you want something truly unique and ultra chic looking, this table is for you.
I think that this table looks even better than the Berkshire, and it is available in two different colour choices also.
It’s super light at only 168 lbs so it should be very easy to initially setup and can also be moved to different locations much easier than the other tables in this article. If portability is an important factor for you, this will definitely be the easiest table to move to different locations.
This table is made in France and the legs are made from some super exotic tropical Moabi wood. So if you want something that you can brag about to your guests, this is the table for you.
Its unique design combines fine furniture aesthetics with table tennis functionality.
